Day Thirty-Four (Part 1)
Orihime continued to sob quietly. Her life was now beyond ruined. Ulquiorra wanted nothing to do with her now once he found out about Grimmjow. He hadn’t given her time to explain because he was just that angry. He didn’t show it but his words expressed his feelings lividly. She wiped her eyes remembering the event like it happened a few minutes ago.
“Come and undress yourself,” Grimmjow said getting straight to the point.
Orihime tried to hold back tears as she stepped forward and turned for Grimmjow to unzip her jacket He threw her hair to the side and yanked it down, nearly breaking it with the force. She felt as if this man were a tiger who just found a wounded deer. His eyes seemed to glaze over her hungrily. She silently wondered if he did want to eat her.
She took off the jacket, freeing her breasts and his hands were immediately upon them. He thumbed her nipples and she tried her hardest not to gasp at the sensation.
“Keep going,” he ordered, never releasing the hold he had on her chest.
Orihime stepped out of her dress and stood naked before him. He let go of her breasts and stepped back to take a look at her. He licked his lips and Orihime suppressed a shudder. Grimmjow lifted her and laid her down on his mattress located on the floor. It was covered in blue pillows and blankets of all different shades. He quickly knocked some things off it and then leaned over her, laying himself between her thighs.
She felt absolutely disgusted with herself, almost like some cheap whore. She never wanted to have intercourse with anyone other than Ulquiorra, but now she had no choice. She didn’t want to lose him. This would be the second time she had to give up something in order to save someone she cared about. This time around, it seemed even more urgent.
Grimmjow ground his hips into hers, causing unwanted moisture to form between her legs.
“Touch me,” he commanded.
Orihime obeyed bringing her small hands up to run them over his shoulders and down his chest. She didn’t want to make him angry so she would try to please him to keep him from killing her or worse, hurting Ulquiorra. She guessed from his demeanor that he would like rough sex so she dragged her nails painfully down his chest. Grimmjow arched forward, closed his eyes, and bit his lip. She must have hit the nail on the head with this response.
“I like that,” Grimmjow confirmed seductively as he leaned down to her neck.
He inhaled her scent before grunting quietly. He sank his teeth into her shoulder and she bit her tongue to keep from crying out. He licked the blood that poured from her wound and looked at her.
“So I’ve been told,” she responded.
“Do something else you think I would like.”
Orihime thought for a moment before leaning up and licking the bone alongside his jaw. He hissed and grasped her thighs forcefully, settling himself firmly against her. She dragged her teeth down the bone and he moaned loudly. She hated herself for how her body responded to that.
Grimmjow removed his pants, freeing his erection and entered her. Orihime gasped at the intrusion. He slammed into her hard and Orihime lay there, wishing he were someone else.
Tears began to well up in her eyes again. She found out later that Loly set the whole thing up, recorded it, and then showed it to Ulquiorra. He burst in a little after the incident happened. Orihime was crying then too. She had run to him and clung to his shirt, not caring if Lord Aizen or anyone else saw. He did not return her embrace.
“You slept with Grimmjow,” he said coldly.
“Ulquiorra, I didn’t want to. They said that…”
“It did not seem as if you weren’t enjoying yourself,” he responded icily. “Loly showed me the recording.”
It dawned on her what he said and she tightly gripped his jacket.
“Ulquiorra, Loly has always been trying to get between us. She made me by saying they would kill you if…”
“Kill me?” he interrupted. “I am the 4th Espada. Grimmjow is the 6th and Loly isn’t even strong enough to have a number. You thought they could defeat me?”
Orihime finally realized the significance of the numbers and quickly tried to explain that. “I didn’t know the numbers went in order of strongest. I just wanted you to be safe.”
She was nearly sobbing now. Ulquiorra unclasped her hands from his jacket and turned to leave. “I need to be alone.”
He hadn’t been back since. A servant hollow had been bringing her meals and taking her to shower. She hoped to see even a glimpse of him, but he was no where to be found. She could truly say she hated Loly for what she had done. She wished that she could strike her dead with a slow and painful death.
Ulquiorra was fuming. He punched a wall in frustration, something he never did. He knew that Loly set this whole thing up, but it was still hard watching Orihime be with Grimmjow. The way she wept made him realize that she really did not want to have intercourse with that crazy son of a bitch. He desparately wanted to hold her while she cried. He wanted to let her know that everything would be alright, but he wasn’t able to. He had to kill something to help ease his turmoil. Right at that moment, he felt a familiar spiritual pressure.
“Kurosaki,” he said as he headed towards him.
Ulquiorra stood at the top of the stairway looking down at Ichigo. He had a little Arrancar girl looped in his arm.
“You’re…Ulquiorra,” he said as he turned and looked at him.
Ulquiorra moved down the stairs. “Long time no see soul reaper. It’s amazing you remember my name when I don’t recall telling you.”
As he continued down the stairs, he got a report about one of the intruders from the ninth Espada. He smiled inwardly with the thought of hurting Ichigo with words first before destroying him completely. Orihime crossed his mind but he quickly pushed her away.
“Rukia Kuchiki is dead.”
Ichigo’s eyes went wide. “What did you say?”
Ulquiorra finally stopped at the bottom of the stairs. “To be exact, her and Espada 9, Aaroniero Arruruerie, killed each other. He tore her to pieces and skewered her on a spear. She’s no longer with the living.”
“Shut the hell up!” Ichigo shouted. “How would you know without even fighting her?!”
His outburst was priceless. He supposed he could tell him the reason he knew since he wasn’t going to live much longer anyway.
“It’s called mental synchronization,” Ulquiorra responded. “It was one of Arruruerie’s abilities. It allowed data to be transmitted about any enemy he fought.”
Orihime beat her fists against the door. “Let me out! Please!”
An image of Rukia’s body sliding down a sword entered her mind and she slowly slipped to the floor. Tears poured from her eyes as Rukia’s spiritual pressure diminished to almost nothing.
“Rukia,” she whispered sadly. “I can’t take this.”
Ichigo turned to leave. Ulquiorra was shocked that he didn’t want to battle. Of course he would not show this, but he would provoke him to a fight. Taking his life would help him to feel better.
“Where are you going?”
Ichigo stopped, but did not turn around. “To save Rukia.”
“After I’m sure I told you she died,” Ulquiorra mocked subtly.
“I don’t believe you,” Ichigo said quietly.
“Pitiful,” Ulquiorra continued. “Is it safe to leave without killing me?”
“I don’t have a reason to fight you.”
Ulquiorra was taken aback by this statement. This was almost an insult. As if he were saying that he wasn’t good enough to battle with. He was extremely mistaken. “What do you mean by that?”
“You are my enemy but you haven’t hurt any of my friends.”
Ulquiorra knew exactly how to set him off now. “Really? What if I told you I forced Orihime Inoue here?”
Ichigo was on him in a flash. Ulquiorra raised a fist and blocked his sword. He finally hit the right nerve with this soul reaper. Anger almost welled inside him when he realized that Ichigo might have feelings for his woman and that’s what caused this response.
“Hn. My woman?” he thought bitterly.
“I knew she didn’t come here on her own free will!” he shouted.
“Strange, even after they came to save her they still had some doubt.”
Ichigo backed up a bit with a smirk on his face. “Nell back away from me.”
The child looked up at him. Tears were shining in her eyes. “Ichigo?”
“It seems like no matter what, this guy isn’t going to let me pass,” he said without turning to look at her. “I’m really sorry, but since I’m in a hurry, I’ll come at you full force.”
That was exactly what Ulquiorra wanted from him. Wind whipped violently around them. Ichigo jumped into the air while black and red spiritual pressure emitted from him.
“Bankai?” Ulquiorra questioned as he looked up.
When Ichigo’s spiritual pressure cleared, he was wearing a hollow mask. Ulquiorra’s eyes shot open in surprise as he swung his Zanpaktou. That same red and black spiritual pressure was released. Ulquiorra barely dodged it.
“What is this form? It’s almost like he’s the same as us.”
“You’re finished,” Ichigo called in a strange voice. “Getsuga Tenshou!”
Crescent shaped reiatsu roared towards Ulquiorra. He raised a hand to stop it. Ichigo’s attack continued to press forcefully against him until he had to raise his other hand to hold back its strength. Ulquiorra still was dumbfounded by this new found ability the soul reaper had.
“Impossible,” he murmured as he was engulfed.
Ichigo stood breathing heavily. His mask cracked and fell away.
“Nell,” he said gently to the small child.
She launched herself at him, cracking him dead in the face. She sputtered a bunch of hard to understand gibberish about how worried she was for him. Ichigo could only smile warmly at her concern. She cried into his chest and he laid a fatherly hand on her head.
“I’m sorry Nell.”
She unlocked herself from him and he rose to stand. “We need to go.”
“But are you okay?” she questioned.
“I’m alright, but I have no more time to waste.”
Ichigo turned to leave but was stopped dead in his tracks. He could feel that Ulquiorra was not yet defeated. When the smoke cleared, Ulquiorra stood tattered with bruises and scrapes running along his body.
“No way,” Ichigo whispered.
“I found it peculiar that I was not able to stop that even with both hands. Was that your full power? It seems that way. Not very impressive,” Ulquiorra said raising a finger. “Cero.”
An immense green light emitted. Once it cleared, Ichigo’s clothes were torn almost completely off his shoulder. All of what was exposed was badly bruised. He tried to run for it, grabbing Nell quickly.
“Nell, are you okay?”
He soon realized she was unconscious. Ulquiorra appeared next to him in mid flight. He knocked him through a few of the Los Noches pillars. They were now what seemed to be outside, but was still inside the castle. Ichigo was more damaged than before.
“You used your mask again when you blocked my cero, but this time it shattered instantly. There’s nothing else you can do but surrender.”
Ichigo pressed his blade into Ulquiorra’s chest. “Why the fuck would I surrender to you? You must be the top Espada so if I defeat you, this battle is over.”
Ulquiorra chuckled, his face never changing. He grasped Ichigo’s Zanpaktou and used it to tear open his clothes. “Sorry to disappoint you.”
Ichigo’s eyes widened as he read the number 4 on his chest.
“That’s right. I am Espada Number Four, Ulquiorra Schiffer. I am the fourth strongest Espada according to rank.”
He thrust his hand through Ichigo’s chest. He gasped and blood poured from his mouth.
“You have no hope of beating me. Even if you managed, there are still three more who are more powerful than I.”
Ichigo’s mouth moved, but he said nothing. Ulquiorra could see the light in his eyes fading quickly.
“I don’t see why Orihime was so fascinated with you,” Ulquiorra spat cruelly. “You’re pathetically weak and do not assess a situation before running head first into it. I suppose it’s a good thing I took her off your hands.”
Ulquiorra pulled his hand from Ichigo’s chest, leaving his lifeless body to crumple to the floor
